More character designs from my masters film at Bournemouth University, done with the help of Jennifer Routh and Anna Maria Glover.
Thunder, to counterpart her sister Lightning, had to be both her little sister's opposite yet similar. At first my design relied too heavily on human anatomy and gave Thunder either a too motherly or matronly appearance. After we decided to change gears and try a more otherworldly appearance, we found a more animalistic and graphic design suited what we had envisioned for the character. She is tall, poised, elegant and quite severe.
