Character designs from my masters film at Bournemouth University, done
with the help of Jennifer Routh and Anna Maria Glover.
Lightning is the main character of our film, and her design had to reflect her sparky personality as well as suit the range of animation she would have to perform in the finished piece. From the start, we wanted the difference between Lightning and her sister Thunder to be quite clear, and the first step towards that was size. Lightning is tiny; zipping from place to place as she wraps herself in electricity and travels in a bolt of energy.
