Turbulence - 3D Animated Short Film - NCCA Bournemouth University from Jennifer Routh on Vimeo.
"‘Turbulence’ tells the story of a fictional folk tale about the origin
of a thunderstorm. The film focuses on the character of Lightning as she
scales the mountain to confront Thunder at its peak. Designs were
inspired by Nigerian landscapes, the Drakensberg in South Africa, and
the Yoruba traditions of North Nigeria."
As my final film for my masters at Bournemouth University, I had the great opportunity to work with my very talented classmates Jennifer Routh and Anna Maria Glover to make this short film. Inspired by League of Legends', "Get Jinxed" music video and the blend between 3D animation and 2D animation, we were eager to try it out for ourselves and push the boundaries of our skills and what we've learned. The three of us each had a different focus in the making of the film, and it was a good challenge to make sure that we could not only complete our tasks, but that we could also keep up with each other.
My roles in this film were: Character Designer, Storyboard Artist, 3D Character Animation, 2D Effects Animation, and Rigging
